According to the 2003 Wealth Transfer Report, nearly $40 trillion dollars will transfer from older to younger generations by 2050 in the United States alone. Africa’s Population is estimated to reach two billion by the year 2050; 60% of that population will be under 30. By the year 2035, it is estimated that Africa's productive labour force will be greater than China's. The growing African youth bulge is a phenomenon that the globe cannot afford to ignore and presents enormous opportunities to engage young people towards a culture of philanthropy that can promote self-sustainable development in Africa.
